Tips for Security!

 https://security.berkeley.edu/resources/best-practices-how-to-articles/top-10-secure-computing-tips

This is a fun article with 10 tips on how to stay secure. What I took away from this article is that you want to make sure that you avoid scams like phishing, try and have updated software and just make sure that you're being careful with your passwords and just what you are clicking. So the main thing is to just be careful and avoid scams. A great tip in this article, which is tip number 10, is to back up data. I think everyone should get in the habit of this because you never know what might happen, so it's always a good idea to have a backup of data. And this is the best tip of the article.

This article was fun to read, and it's short and sweet. It does not matter if you are a beginner or an expert, it's easy to follow along, and you will learn some great tips from reading this article. I thought the article did a good job keeping it short, because sometimes, if it gets too long it gets boring. So I for sure recommend everyone to read the article and I hope I can continue to learn and have fun with computer security! Finally, this text is from the university of UC Berkeley so it's trustworthy and valuable and the text is on their website so when you click the link the page where the tips are is on the website directly so we know it is good and trustworthy!

  1. I think that this is a fine article for those who don't know much about cybersecurity since most of these tips are known by experienced computer users. However, I am just a little concerned about how old this article is. There is no date on the article, but I suspect that this article is over five years old since it seems to mention Adobe Flash, which has been discontinued in 2020. I think it would be good to find an article that is more up to date since security standards change over time.
